KB Crates installs content as native WHMCS knowledgebase records. Once installed, articles can be managed using the familiar WHMCS administration interface.
Customize wording, add company-specific instructions, reorganize categories, or publish only the content relevant to your services. You remain in control of what your customers see.
Protects Your Local Changes
Editing bundled content should not mean losing your work during a future update.
KB Crates detects locally modified articles and prevents Safe Sync from silently overwriting those customizations. When bundled content and a locally edited article differ, the conflict can be reviewed before deciding how it should be handled.
Available actions include:
- Keeping the locally customized version
- Replacing it with the bundled version
- Resuming management of the article for future updates
Pre-change snapshots provide an additional safeguard before eligible content is updated.

- Manage cleanup separately from normal deactivation
Deactivating the addon does not automatically remove the knowledgebase content it created. Destructive cleanup is isolated behind a separate confirmation process to help prevent accidental data removal.
Self-Hosted and Lightweight
All bundled articles are included with the addon release and managed locally within your WHMCS installation.
KB Crates does not depend on a remote content repository or background content-download service. Pack content is loaded only when required, and the addon does not require a background synchronization cron.
